This dynamic leader will serve as the spiritual heart of our congregation, inspiring growth, service, fostering unity, and providing pastoral care that uplifts and empowers. The ideal candidate will possess a vibrant faith, exceptional communication skills, and a strong commitment to serving others through teaching, counseling, and leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the spiritual journey of our members, continue to support the church outreach programs, while leading with integrity. Job Qualifications at a Glance Be a committed Christian and maintain a disciplined spiritual life according to Biblical Guidelines Hold an Associate's degree or above in theology, ministry, or a related field from an accredited institution Have a strong understanding of Biblical teaching and have the ability to extrapolate that understanding into practical application Responsibilities • Provide spiritual leadership and direction for the church through preaching, teaching, discipleship and pastoral care Lead and oversee discipleship programs for adults, including the development of new Christian education resources as well as regular Bible studies and spiritual growth opportunities Preach and teach regularly as the primary communicator of God's Word during worship services and other church gatherings (including planned events outside of normally scheduled church gatherings) Be available to provide pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and care to members of the church Work closely with the Elder Board, Ministry Board, and Ministerial Staff to lead the church in fulfilling its mission and ministry Represent Great Oak Church in the community and cooperate with other churches and ministries when appropriate

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
