Associate Pastor

Associater Pastor serves along Senior Pastor to support the spiritual care, leadership developement, and ministry coordination of the Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren Congregation. Assist with visition, including hospital and in-home visits. Provide care and spiritual support to members of the congregation. Assist Senior Pastor with counseling needs. Maintain strict confidentiality of all ministry information. Foster effective communication within the congegation. Work with Deacon Board to maintain a checklist for congrgational care. Serve as primary contact when Senior Pastor is unavailable. Identify , recruit and train volunteers and lay leaders. Collaborate with ministry leaders to mobilize new leaders. Build relationships with individuals gifted for care ministry. Meet regulary with lay leaders for prayer, encouragement, and problem solving. Help coordinate the day to day execution of church ministry. Assist with services and events such as Love Feast, Ash Wednesday, Sunrise sevice, Christmas Eve Service. Assist with Sunday evening services. Support additional congregational projects as time allows. Attend Church Board meetings and Deacon Board Meetings. Work Closely with Senior Pastor to support church ministry. The Associate Pastor works in coordination with the Senior Pastor and serves under the guidance of the Executive Board of the Church Board, which provides oversight and leadership for the congrgation.
