Job Description

Position Summary New Life Community Church is seeking a Pastor called by God to lead and feed His sheep through the rigorous, life-giving teaching of Holy Scripture. This individual must be committed to the expository preaching of the Word, utilizing Greek and Hebrew to nourish the congregation. We are looking for a capable organizational leader, overseeing the business operations, staff, and stewardship of church resources to ensure our mission is executed with excellence and integrity. Beyond the pulpit, we seek a humble, self-starting shepherd who leads with a radical compassion, biblical integrity, and a genuine love for the people of this community. Key Responsibilities Expository Preaching & Teaching Provide primary pulpit ministry focused on verse-by-verse exposition. Utilize working knowledge of Greek and Hebrew to ensure theological accuracy and depth. Bridge the gap between ancient texts and modern application. Pastoral Care & Shepherding Lead the congregation with a spirit of humility and approachability. Provide compassionate, biblical counseling and spiritual care to members. Nurture the spiritual growth of members through relational discipleship. Model the love of Christ in all interactions with staff and congregants. Administrative & Leadership Oversight Collaborate with the Elder Board to discern the church s direction. Work with the Elders and Treasurer on church budget and ensure financial transparency and accountability. Uphold and defend the church s statement of faith and biblical values. Lead the development and execution of long-term goals and ministry initiatives. Mentor and develop lay leaders and staff members.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Prefer a bachelor or equivalent studies from an accredited seminary, college or university.
Languages:
Knowledge of Biblical Hebrew and Greek.
Experience:
Preferred 8+ years of experience in pastoral leadership and preaching.
Business Acumen:
Experience managing budgets, personnel, and complex projects.
Communication:
Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication and personal interaction skills.
Character:
Demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit and meets the requirements of 1 Timothy 3.
Heart:
A proven track record of "shepherding with love"-showing patience, empathy, and grace while instilling accountability.
