POSITION SUMMARY

Associate Pastor, Worship. Cross Road is seeking a passionate Christ-follower skilled in leading congregational worship in a thriving church environment. This person will be responsible for championing a church-wide culture of worship that honors God, inspires the church family, and develops a thriving worship team. The Worship Pastor will lead themselves with spiritual discipline, lead the worship team with excellence, and lead the church in engaging, transformative worship experiences. They will embody our vision of Reach, Teach, Live, and Love - Like Jesus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve directly as pastor to the Vocal team, Praise band, Technology team and all others associated with worship experiences at Cross Road. Oversee the recruitment and development of vocalists, musicians, sound and lighting personnel as well as technicians for livestreaming. Plan worship experiences including scheduling, song selection, rehearsals and the execution of the actual worship experience. Foster a team culture of excellence, unity, and servant-hearted leadership. Encourage and mentor emerging worship leaders within the church. Our Worship Pastor is the primary on-stage worship leader for worship gatherings and collaborates with the entire staff to insure high quaility worship experiences in all ministry areas. Working with the Senior Pastor, oversee all details of the worship including Communion services, Prayer services, Baptisms, and Funerals. Disciple support staff, key leaders, and volunteers in the Worship ministry.

Maintain a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, Scripture, worship, service and giving. Exhibit a lifestyle of integrity, humility, and spiritual maturity. Demonstrate a high degree of musical skill and understanding. Pursue personal and professional development in worship leadership and ministry.

Cross Road Church is a non-denominational Christian church existing to Reach, Teach, Live, and Love Like Jesus! At Cross Road, our vision is to reach the unbeliever for Christ, and through the teaching of Scripture, for the believer to understand God's will, plan and purpose for their life. Cross Road Church began 23 years ago with just a handful of families and a dream of starting a church that would make a lasting impact in our city, our state, country and the world. The dream still lives, the need is still thriving, and Christ still wants His church to make a difference in this lost world. Today, this multi-generational body of believers shares life in ongoing missional and community activities. The church offers two Sunday worship services (identical) and multiple Bible studies for members. LifeGroups and activities for all ages provide a great environment for growing our faith.

Job Qualifications:

Embody the qualifications of a pastor according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. A deep love for Jesus and a passion for leading others in worship. Strong musical ability (vocal and instrumental) with a heart for spiritual leadership. Experience leading worship in a church setting (3-5 years). Experience with worship technology, including Planning Center, ProPresenter, audio mixing, and lighting schemes. Experience with online live stream production - video quality, sound mixing, communication, etc. Ability to recruit, train, and mentor musicians and vocalists. Strong communication and organizational skills. A team player with a humble, servant-hearted attitude. Formal theological or musical training, or equivalent experience Multi-instrumental ability is preferred
