The Elementary Children's Director position oversees three key groups at Real Life Church; each is equally important to the ministry's success. Firstly, " The Children " refers to children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade. In the context of RLC, this ministry is known as "KidsLife". Secondly, " The Family" , including parents, guardians, grandparents, and siblings. Lastly, " The Team" is the group of people who have dedicated their time, gifts, and abilities to minister to the children of RLC. Without this group, the ministry would be limited in its ability to properly minister to the children. It is the responsibility of the Elementary Children's Director to ensure that these three groups work together to provide safety, continuity, and spiritual growth.Professional and Spiritual Qualifications:

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Children Provide complete oversight to the Elementary section of "Kids Life." Provide a safe and clean environment for children by written policies to ensure safety, monitoring of classrooms, performing background checks on all team members, implementation of check-in and pick-up procedures, and recruitment of hall monitors Provide an atmosphere that encourages spiritual growth for children and volunteers Provide an environment in the Elementary Ministry that promotes salvation, spiritual growth through scripture memorization and study, biblical knowledge, evangelism, and church attendance Research curriculum and choose the best scope and sequence for the children as they grow and develop, which is in line with the RLC mission and vision Constantly evaluate space, use of time, growth patterns, and effectiveness of the ministry. Plan and facilitate special events for the children that encourage spiritual growth, development of friendships, and create an excitement for attending church and KidsLife. Provide a structure that presents the gospel message regularly and concisely. This includes follow-up and teaching of spiritual growth and baptism. This will be done at least 4 times a year. The Families Provide an atmosphere where families feel welcomed and assured that their children are safe and well cared for. Provide a safe line of communication with families concerning their children, the teaching, and the care provided to their children. Provide classes for parents and children concerning: Child Dedication, Salvation, and Baptism. Discipleship classes can and will be provided as needed Home guides are provided weekly for families to study and stay connected with the curriculum lesson The Team Recruit, encourage, and train individuals who are dedicated to serving in "KidsLife" at RLC. This is done by creating, implementing, and executing two all-inclusive trainings for children's ministry each year, providing training and mentorship to new team members, and completing all administrative needs for children's ministry (i.e., RLC Honor Code complete, background checks, and volunteer applications) Create and maintain a "Structure of Care" for the ministry. This includes an organization chart listing the specific people each volunteer is responsible for caring for. Administrative Support Provides complete oversight of all Elementary Kid's Life administrative needs Maintain a current roster/roles of all Elementary Kid's Life attendees and teams Make weekly staff meetings a priority and participate in ongoing staff initiatives Completes other duties as assignedBenefits:
