Childrens Pastor

Overview Looking for a person who is Called by God to minister to children and their families in a dynamic, Christ centered way. Grace on the Hill Community Church is a church growing both spiritually and numerically in beautiful southeast Kentucky with a state of the art children's facility. The Pastoral Staff works together to empower ministry leaders emphasizing discipleship. We have a healthy balance of demographics including young families with children. Our worship style is contemporary. Theologically we are Wesleyan in our beliefs and theological roots. Responsibilities

• Creatively plan curriculum for both Sunday morning ministry and Wednesday night ministry preparing materials for those serving as teachers
• Develop servants who will serve as teachers and helpers
• Assure that all who serve in Grace Kids have been vetted and are trained
• Oversee VBS, Outreach, and other Events
• Work cooperatively with Staff
• Create and oversee fundraising efforts
• Create both a spiritually safe environment and physically safe environment
• Promote and champion Grace Kids ministry using various technology applications and in other ways Requirements Proven experience working with children in a church or educational setting, demonstrating leadership and teaching skills.

Strong communication skills to connect effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and community members. Effective servant and team building skills Ability to plan engaging events and manage multiple projects simultaneously with enthusiasm. Compassionate approach to working with children facing difficult circumstances such as loss or social challenges. Experience with special needs children is a bonus Ability to organize large scale outreach events, VBS, etc. Good organizational skills and technical savvy Attend a church service twice a month (we have two currently) Attend "all church" events such as fundraising lunches, concerts, etc. so as to be visible to the congregation Commitment to living out Christian values authentically.
