Music Minister

Grayson Nazarene Church - Grayson, Kentucky Position Summary The Music Minister will lead and coordinate the music ministry of Grayson Nazarene Church. This individual will work alongside the pastor to plan and lead meaningful worship services that help the congregation connect with God through music and praise. This is a part-time position ($100 per week) primarily focused on preparing and leading Sunday morning worship, while other services will also be required as needed.

Responsibilities The Music Minister will:

Worship Leadership Lead congregational worship during Sunday services (and other services as needed) Select songs and hymns that align with the pastor's message and the theme of the service Encourage congregational participation in worship Planning & Preparation Meet or communicate with the pastor to plan worship services Prepare song lists and arrangements for each service Lead rehearsals with singers and musicians as needed Team Leadership Recruit and organize volunteer musicians and singers Provide encouragement and spiritual leadership to the worship team Schedule rehearsals and coordinate team participation Music Ministry Development Help grow the church's music ministry over time (including sound and stage production) Introduce new songs when appropriate while honoring traditional worship music Assist with special services (Christmas, Easter, revivals, etc.) Qualifications Preferred candidates will: Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and a heart for worship/ministry Must pursue membership at Grayson Nazarene Be able to run sound and a computer Be able to sing and lead music confidently Play an instrument (guitar or piano preferred but not required) Be comfortable leading people in worship Be dependable and able to prepare weekly Formal education is not required , but experience leading worship is helpful.

Time Commitment Typical weekly commitment:

Sunday morning worship service (and other services as needed) One rehearsal during the week (if needed) Planning time for music selection Estimated 2-6 hours per week .

$100.00 per week
