Worship Pastor

Objective / Summary The Worship and Communications Pastor is a dual role serving both the spiritual and creative life of The Link Church. As Worship Pastor , this leader is responsible for cultivating healthy volunteer teams that create engaging, Christ-centered Sunday morning experiences. They will work closely with the Senior Pastor to plan sermon series and service flows that enhance participation and clarity. This role oversees the Worship and Production Teams and provides leadership for audio, visual, and lighting systems, while helping build and develop volunteer teams that align with the mission of linking people to Jesus and one another. As Communications Pastor , this leader is responsible for stewarding The Link Church s brand and ensuring all church communication is clear, consistent, and high quality. They will determine what gets communicated, how it is communicated, and ensure media and graphics support the mission and vision of the church. Essential Functions As a full-time member of the church staff, the Worship and Communications Pastor works closely with the Senior Pastor to serve, lead, and disciple the congregation. This role plays a key part in creating space for The Link Church to accomplish its mission: to make disciples of Jesus who go, grow, and multiply. This position provides daily oversight of Sunday Service teams, including: Worship Team Production Team Host Team Prayer Team Café Team Site Protection Team The Worship and Communications Pastor will partner with trusted Lead Volunteers (already in place) to equip and support them throughout the week, allowing Sunday mornings to remain focused on leading the congregation in worship. Responsibilities Lead Sunday worship experiences that help people encounter God Plan Spirit-led services that are free from unnecessary distractions Equip, care for, and develop volunteer teams in alignment with church mission Steward the Worship Ministry budget and plan for future needs Oversee church media, branding, and messaging Create or edit graphics that support worship and ministry initiatives Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication throughout the church Required Education, Experience, and Membership Full membership at The Link Church, including alignment with church values and beliefs Bachelor s degree in a pastoral or communications field (or comparable experience) Confident musician and vocalist Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated team leadership ability Advanced skills in lighting, audio, and graphics technology Strong training and development skills A consistent pattern of personal and spiritual growth Beneficial Skills and Traits Experience building and leading volunteer teams Experience with (or willingness to learn): Multitrack software Planning Center Online ProPresenter Vista lighting consoles Graphic design experience Strong organizational and communication skills Reporting Relationship Reports to the Senior Pastor
