Worship Director Purpose of the Job The Associate Worship Pastor serves as a key leadership partner to the Worship Director in overseeing and coordinating the worship and tech portion of the Weekend Services Team. This role is responsible for helping guard the culture, character, and health of the Worship and Tech Ministry, including staff and Serve Team members. The Associate Worship Pastor provides spiritual leadership, worship leading excellence, pastoral care, and organizational execution to ensure that our teams are spiritually rooted, culturally aligned, and operationally prepared. They function as both a worship leader and a developer of leaders, helping build a sustainable and multiplying worship ministry. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Collaborative Leadership Assist the Worship Director in planning, managing, and implementing departmental projects, rhythms, and long-term goals. Often take the lead on delegated initiatives and ensure follow-through, communication, and execution. Attend and actively contribute to weekly department meetings and relevant church-wide planning meetings. Help translate the Lead Pastor's vision and the church's direction into practical execution within the Weekend Services Team. Maintain alignment with church-wide initiatives, calendar planning, and collaborative departmental work. Worship Leadership Regularly lead worship for weekend services and special events. Model spiritual authenticity, excellence, and humility on and off stage. Team Development & Discipleship Lead, mentor, and develop a strong pipeline of worship leaders, vocalists, and musicians who become leaders of leaders. Provide coaching, feedback, and spiritual encouragement to both worship and tech serve team members. Recruit and onboard new musicians and vocalists. Service Planning & Execution Plan and manage set lists in alignment with sermon series themes and Executive Director of Weekend Services direction. Schedule musicians, vocalists, and tech team members through Planning Center. Lead rehearsals with vocalists and musicians, ensuring preparedness and excellence. Participate in weekend service planning and debrief meetings. Attend and facilitate debrief and planning meetings following weekend services. Assist with stage design concepts and seasonal builds (Easter, Christmas, and major initiatives) in collaboration with the Tech team, as needed. Pastoral Responsibilities Fulfill the responsibilities of "Pastor" at The Bayou Church to the best of their ability, including pastoral care, prayer, and spiritual guidance outside of their ministry team, as needed. Assisting with baptisms, ministry response moments, and other spiritual leadership opportunities as needed. Provide relational care to Worship and Tech Serve Team members.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
