Job Description

First Baptist Church of PitkinPitkin, LouisianaBivocational Pastor Position First Baptist Church of Pitkin is prayerfully seeking a bivocational pastor to lead, teach, and shepherd our congregation. We are a small-town, Southern Baptist church with a heart for biblical preaching, prayer, reaching the lost, and serving our community. The ideal candidate will be a man called by God to pastoral ministry, grounded in Scripture, committed to prayer, and able to lovingly lead and work well with people of all ages. He should have a heart for preaching God's Word, teaching Bible study, counseling, visitation, community involvement, and helping the church grow in faith and outreach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Called to pastoral ministry Strong biblical preaching and teaching ability Commitment to Southern Baptist doctrine and values Ability to lead with humility, wisdom, and compassion Heart for evangelism, discipleship, visitation, and community outreach
Primary Responsibilities:
Preach and teach the Word of God Lead the church in prayer, worship, and spiritual growth Visit and care for church members and families Provide counseling and pastoral guidance Help lead outreach and community involvement Work alongside church leadership in vision, planning, and ministry Interested candidates may submit a résumé, statement of faith, ministry experience, references, and sermon links if available.
