Job Description

Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church in Flat Rock, MI seeks Pastor (multiple positions).
Responsibilities:
The Pastor is responsible for preparing and conducting religious worship services, including the administration of the sacraments of communion and baptism; leading the worship praise team; preparing for and leading Bible study groups; preparing for and participating in congregational, District, Conference, and community meetings; providing spiritual counseling, guidance, and leadership to church members; meeting the church members in times of special need; ministering to the ill and infirm, which sometimes may require limited local travel to their homes or health care facilities; performing and conducting religious services and other religious events such as funerals and weddings; coordinating members to lead and support various functions of the church including janitorial, administrative, musical, technological, or childcare duties; and other duties as assigned.
Please Note:
The pastor will travel approximately 15% of the time, including limited local travel and in-state travel to visit the homes and health care facilities of church members, attending local community meetings, and attending District and Conference meetings within the state of Michigan.
