Associate Pastor Title:
Associate Pastor Reports to:
Lead Pastor Time Commitment:
Full Time Purpose To assist the Lead Pastor in leading the community and Church body to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The primary focus of this role is to cultivate biblical maturity and implement the church's mission of making disciples of Jesus, with a specific emphasis on the spiritual growth and discipleship of children, youth, and their families. Allocation of Ministry
  • Pastoral Ministry & Discipleship (50%): General pastoral care, preaching, and spiritual growth initiatives.
  • Youth Discipleship (35%): Spiritual development for Junior and Senior High students.
  • Children's Discipleship Coordinator (15%): Coordinating elementary and family-focused discipleship and spiritual foundations. Key ResponsibilitiesPastoral Discipleship & Spiritual Growth (50%)
Teaching:
Serve on the primary preaching rotation approximately every six weeks, focusing on biblical understanding and a firm grasp of the gospel.
    Spiritual Development:
    Oversee Adult Education and various mid-week classes to help the community grow in their walk with Christ.
      Soul Care:
      Provide crisis counseling and support for individuals in their spiritual journey.
        Community Outreach:
        Maintain a strong presence in the community as a representative of NorthBrook's ministry.
          Staff Collaboration:
          Participate in NorthBrook staff meetings and regular meetings with the Lead Pastor.
            Future Leadership:
            Provide leadership for various programs and ministries while remaining available for what God is doing. This role includes intentional mentorship and preparation for the potential opportunity to transition into the Lead Pastor position in the future. Youth Discipleship (35%)
              Programming:
              Implement and adapt mid-week programming and Sunday School designed to help JH & SH youth grow spiritually.
                Small Groups:
                Develop and oversee Youth Small Groups to facilitate deeper biblical community.
                  Volunteer Training:
                  Recruit and provide training for all volunteers to model a close relationship with Jesus.
                    Communication:
                    Initiate and maintain clear lines of communication with parents, youth, and volunteers. Children's Discipleship Coordinator (15%)
                      Ministry Oversight:
                      Coordinate all logistical details for Sunday morning and mid-week activities, ensuring children are grounded in the gospel through selected curriculum.
                        Volunteer Coordination:
                        Recruit, schedule, and equip a team of volunteers to lead children in their spiritual growth.
                          Relational Connection:
                          Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and volunteers regarding children's ministry schedules and spiritual foundations. Desired Qualifications
                            Christ-Centered:
                            A demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and a heart to see all people grow spiritually.
                              Education:
                              Possession of a solid theological education and training in ministry or an equivalent field of study.
                                Biblically Grounded:
                                A solid Biblical understanding and a firm grasp of the gospel.
                                  Relational Leader:
                                  Discernable skills as a communicator and a proven leader with the ability to supervise teams.
                                    Residency Requirement:
                                    The successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the immediate local area to effectively serve the community. Personal Expectations

                                            Pay:
                                            $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
