Student Ministry Leader MapleRidge Church Our Mission We exist to glorify God by developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through winning the lost, building the believer, equipping the worker, and growing the leader. Position Overview MapleRidge Church, a vibrant faith community of approximately 250, is seeking a full-time Student Ministry Leader to guide and inspire our middle and high school students. This role is central to our mission, focusing on discipling young people, fostering their growth in faith, and helping them become fully devoted followers of Jesus. The ideal candidate will energize and rally students, families, and volunteers toward meaningful spiritual growth and active participation in the life of the church. Relationships Shall work with and directly under the supervision of the Senior Pastor. Shall communicate with parents/guardians of children. Shall collaborate with student ministry adult volunteers. Key Responsibilities Lead weekly student gatherings, Bible studies, events, and discipleship opportunities that build believers and equip emerging leaders among our youth. Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that proclaim the Gospel, nurture faith, and encourage students to live out their commitment to Christ in their schools and communities. Recruit, train, and empower a team of volunteer leaders to support ministry efforts. Build strong relationships with students and their families, and provide pastoral care, mentoring, and support during key life moments. Collaborate with the church staff team to align student ministry with the overall vision and mission of the church. Plan and coordinate occasional retreats, service projects, and outreach activities to engage students in winning the lost and serving others. Maintain regular communication with parents and the church family to keep them informed and involved. Desired Characteristics We are looking for a passionate follower of Jesus Christ who: Thrives in rallying others around a shared vision, naturally inspiring and mobilizing people (students, volunteers, and families) to take action and move forward with enthusiasm and momentum. Maintains a positive, unifying online presence that reflects Christ-like character and avoids partisan or divisive political engagement on social media. Wholeheartedly affirms the biblical teaching on marriage as the lifelong union of one-man and one-woman and supports the church's commitment to God's design for human sexuality and gender as we interpret it in Scripture ( Statement of Marriage, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Identity ). Values and actively supports the gifted service of women in various leadership roles throughout the church. Possesses strong relational skills, a warm presence, organizational abilities, and a heart for youth discipleship. Qualifications Is a mature, warm, and real follower of Jesus Christ and will become a member of MapleRidge Church after the successful completion of the six-month orientation period. Be spiritually qualified according to the biblical standard of leadership (I Timothy 3:1-13; II Timothy 2; Titus 1-2). In agreement with our doctrinal statement, committed to our mission statement, vision statement, core values and policy manual. Have the necessary training and proven competence in their area of responsibility through an earned degree or prior experience in youth ministry. Must submit to a criminal record background check. Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time salaried position with a compensation package (salary plus benefits) ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
