About North Haven Church North Haven is a genuine, multi-generational, loving community. This church has deep roots in North St Paul. The community around the church has changed over the years, and we recognise that God has a plan to use us to reach this changing and diverse area. We are excited to see how God uses North Haven for His work here in North St Paul. One of the ways we have seen great strides in engaging with the community is through our kids and youth programs. We do not want North Haven to just have great programming. We want to be authentic and real. We want to be a body of Christ that intentionally welcomes people in and leads them to Jesus. Kids Ministry Director Position Position Summary The Children's Director provides leadership for the church's ministry to children, equipping volunteers and partnering with parents to disciple children in a safe, welcoming environment centered on knowing and following Jesus.

Next Gen Pastor Position Status:
Part-Time Essential Responsibilities Work with the Next Gen Pastor and Senior Pastor to develop and implement a clear vision for children's ministry (birth-5th grade) aligned with the church's mission. Participate with the Next Gen Pastor in overseeing curriculum selection to ensure biblically sound, age-appropriate instruction. Plan a cohesive discipleship pathway for kids and families. Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers for nursery, preschool, elementary, and special events. Maintain volunteer background checks and ensure Safe Church/Child Protection policies are followed. Provide ongoing encouragement and leadership development for volunteers. Plan and oversee weekly Sunday programs, midweek programs, and seasonal events (VBS, Christmas program, family events). Ensure classrooms and spaces are prepared, safe, and welcoming. Collaborate with pastoral staff on churchwide events involving children. Communicate with parents regularly about teaching content, events, and spiritual formation resources. Develop partnerships with parents to support discipleship in the home. Manage the kids ministry budget. Oversee check-in/check-out systems, attendance tracking. Maintain ministry supplies and resource organization. Required Qualifications A growing follower of Jesus with a heart for children and families. Experience serving or leading in children's ministry settings. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to lead, encourage, and equip volunteers. Preferred Qualifications Previous church staff experience in children's ministry Experience with church management software (e.g., Planning Center). Spiritual Expectations A clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to live as His disciple. Agreement with the church's doctrinal statement and mission. Willingness to minister in a manner that reflects the heart and unity of the church. Commitment to maintaining a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1). Active participation in the life of the church. Work Schedule & Expectations This role is designed for approximately 20-25 hours per week. Final weekly hours are negotiable within that range based on the candidate's availability and strengths. This position has a semi-flexible schedule. Required times include Sunday mornings, Tuesday staff meetings, and Wednesday evenings. Other hours are flexible. Attendance at Sunday services and major churchwide events is expected. Some evening or weekend hours may be necessary for programs and events. Regular collaboration with pastoral staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers. Shall become a member of the church Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to oversee active environments with children. Ability to move throughout building spaces and set up ministry environments.Compensation Starting Pay:
