Chaplain Intern

DESCRIPTION

The Chaplain Intern serves alongside the Chaplain Department in providing spiritual care and ministry support to residents, families, and staff within Friendship Village. This internship is designed to provide supervised ministry experience and practical chaplaincy training as the intern works toward completing the educational requirements for a Divinity/Ministry student. The internship seeks to cultivate growth in pastoral ministry, preaching, teaching, worship leadership, spiritual care, and theological reflection through hands-on ministry experience, mentorship, and intentional supervision.

Job Requirements:

Current enrollment in a Divinity, Seminary, Theology, Ministry, or related educational program. Desire to pursue vocational ministry, chaplaincy, pastoral ministry, or spiritual care. Ability to communicate the core beliefs of the Christian faith with compassion and professionalism. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact graciously with older adults, families, staff, and residents experiencing emotional, spiritual, or physical challenges. Willingness to learn through mentorship, supervision, reflection, and practical ministry experience. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
