Main St Three Forks, Montana 59752 Three Forks, Montana 59752 406-285-3466 Purpose of the PositionThe Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church, providing biblical preaching, pastoral care, leadership, vision, and oversight of the church's ministries. He will shepherd the congregation, equip believers for ministry, and lead the church in fulfilling the Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship, worship, fellowship, and service. Primary ResponsibilitiesPreaching and Teaching
  • Faithfully preach and teach the Word of God with biblical accuracy and practical application.
  • Lead and oversee the teaching ministry of the church.
  • Plan and conduct worship services in cooperation with church leaders and ministry teams.
  • Administer the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. Spiritual Leadership
  • Provide spiritual leadership and vision for the church.
  • Lead the congregation in prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and missions.
  • Encourage unity, spiritual growth, and Christlike living within the church body.
  • Model a godly life consistent with biblical qualifications for pastoral ministry. Pastoral Care
  • Shepherd and care for the congregation through visitation, counseling, encouragement, and prayer.
  • Conduct weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and other pastoral ministries as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support during times of crisis or spiritual need. Leadership and Administration
  • Lead and supervise church staff and ministry leaders.
  • Work alongside deacons and ministry teams in planning and decision-making.
  • Help develop and implement church goals, ministries, and outreach efforts.
  • Participate in church meetings and provide regular reports to church leadership. Outreach and Community Engagement
  • Encourage and participate in local outreach and missions.
  • Represent the church in the community with integrity and Christlike character.
  • Promote opportunities for evangelism and community involvement. QualificationsSpiritual QualificationsThe Senior Pastor must meet the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4. Ministry Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a clear calling to pastoral ministry.
  • Agrees with the church's statement of faith and doctrinal beliefs (Baptist Faith and Message).
  • Strong ability in preaching, teaching, leadership, and discipleship.
  • Demonstrates humility, integrity, wisdom, and servant leadership.
  • Able to work effectively with church leadership, staff, volunteers, and congregation members. Education and Experience
  • Preferred theological or ministry training from a Bible college or seminary.
  • Previous pastoral or ministry experience preferred.
  • Experience in leadership development and church ministry organization is beneficial. Expectations
  • Maintain a consistent personal walk with Christ through prayer, Bible study, and spiritual discipline.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in ministry matters.
  • Be active in the life and ministries of the church.
  • Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the church. AccountabilityThe Senior Pastor is accountable to the church congregation through the leadership structure established by the church constitution and bylaws. Compensation and Benefits
