Vizion Church, Charlotte, NC (West Blvd.) Position Summary This position serves as the primary leader and point person for the West Blvd. campus, carrying both the spiritual and operational leadership of the location. This role is responsible for congregant care, weekly services, driving outreach initiatives, building meaningful connections within the community, and creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus and find belonging. This leader will oversee weekly ministry rhythms, develop and empower volunteer teams, and ensure that every Sunday experience is executed with excellence, clarity, and intentionality. They will function as both a pastor to people and a leader of systems—helping establish a thriving, outward-focused campus. Key Responsibilities Campus Leadership & Sunday Oversight Serve as the primary point leader on Sundays —owning the full campus experience Oversee service flow including hosting moments, transitions, and communication Lead and coordinate all volunteer teams (First Impressions, Vizion Kids, etc.) Ensure services are executed with excellence, alignment, and intentionality Troubleshoot and make real-time decisions to maintain a smooth experience Volunteer Development & Team Building Recruit, train, and develop a growing team of volunteers and leaders Create a healthy culture of ownership, excellence, and spiritual growth Identify and raise up key leaders within each ministry area Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and accountability Campus Coordination & Organizational Excellence Oversee all weekly campus logistics, communication, and planning Coordinate with central staff and ministries to ensure alignment Manage schedules, service plans, and event execution Ensure systems (Planning Center, communication flows, etc.) are organized and effective Maintain detailed systems for tracking new believer participation and progress Manage department budget, corresponding registrations, attendance, and reports Create clear annual goals for corresponding ministries and track progress throughout the year Ensure all processes, courses, and events are executed with excellence, organization, and attention to detail Outreach & Community Engagement Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan for the West Blvd. community Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and leaders Identify needs in the community and mobilize the church to meet them Create consistent opportunities for people to connect with Vizion Church beyond Sundays Lead the campus to be a visible, active light in the surrounding neighborhood Outreach is not just an event—but a culture Pastoral Care & Spiritual Leadership Build relationships with people in the congregation and community Provide pastoral support, prayer, and leadership as needed Help people take next steps in their faith journey (salvation, baptism, serving, groups) Champion the vision, culture, and DNA of Vizion Church Qualifications & Characteristics Strong calling to pastoral ministry and outreach Proven ability to lead teams and build culture High capacity leader who thrives in both relational and operational environments Self-starter who can take ownership and build from the ground up Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Alignment with the vision, values, and doctrine of Vizion Church Key Wins (KPIs) Growth in community engagement and outreach initiatives Strong volunteer recruitment, retention, and development Excellent, consistent Sunday experiences Clear systems and healthy weekly operations Measurable next steps (salvations, baptisms, serving, groups) Non-Negotiables Passion for reaching people far from God Ownership mindset—doesn't wait, but leads Commitment to excellence in both ministry and execution Relational warmth combined with strong leadership presence Teachable, humble, and aligned with senior leadership Faithful in personal spiritual disciplines and leadership integrity What Success Looks Like The West Blvd. campus becomes known as a hub of hope and community impact People from the surrounding neighborhood are consistently engaging with the church Sundays feel organized, energized, and spiritually impactful A growing team of leaders is being developed and empowered Work Schedule & Compensation Attend weekly staff & leadership meetings. Attend bi-weekly check-ins with your direct report. Assist Pastoral Staff with special projects upon request. Salary TBD plus full benefits.
