Job Description

Epicenter Church is seeking a full-time Youth Pastor to oversee our Student Ministry. This person will work in partnership with the pastors, staff, and members of the congregation to oversee student ministries within the life of the church.
WHO WE ARE
Epicenter is located in Fayetteville, NC, which is home to the largest military base in the United States. Fayetteville is extremely diverse racially, politically, and economically, and our congregation reflects that reality. We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God, but operate in more of a non-denominational capacity. We have around 1,500 people who call the church home, and are looking for someone who can grow our Student Ministry to reflect the growth that has been occurring in our Sunday Morning worship experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES
We re looking for someone to help take our student ministry to the next level. For the right candidate, this position could become a Next-Gen pastor role, overseeing all ministries for ages 0-25. The specific responsibilities of the role are as follows: Oversee weekly programming for students in grades 6-12 Direct, recruit, and develop a team of volunteers to help lead and disciple students Plan, prepare for, and implement events and activities for students Serve with partner organizations in local schools Effectively communicate with parents about upcoming events and lessons Partner with areas of the church to involve students in ministry Invest in the lives of students and their families to cultivate discipleship Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor s Degree Student Ministry or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
The ideal candidate would also:
Possess strong planning and communication skills Be a motivated self-starter who is committed to Excellence Have the ability to work well with staff and congregation members, and to lead groups of volunteers Be able to develop a vision for their ministry, and connect that vision to action through planning and implementing strategies and events.
