BASIC ASSUMPTIONS

Candidate will be a "born again" believer in Jesus Christ. (John 3:1-14). Committed to a consistent & growing walk with the Lord. Possess good people skills, both in small groups & one-on-one relationships. Have the ability to relate to a diverse congregation. Agree with the Constitution of the Berean Fellowship & Crete Berean Church. Support Crete Berean s Vision, Mission and Statements of Faith as a member of Crete Berean Church. Cast, communicate, and carry out the Vision of Crete Berean Church.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBIITIES

Responsible for the general spiritual direction and health of the church in conjunction with the Elders. Lead the congregation toward a common Mission and Vision as approved by the Elders. Lead the spiritual development and unity of the pastoral & office staff. Watch over the spiritual development and unity of the Elders. Oversee all worship services and work with the worship team to plan Christ-centered, inspirational worship. Lead the Bible-based preaching ministry of the church

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach in other ministries when possible. Oversee the health of church ministries and volunteer leaders. Conduct weddings and funerals. Provide Biblical counseling on a limited basis. Visit members in homes and in hospitals as needed. Attend monthly meetings of the Three Rivers District of the Berean Fellowship. Attend the annual Pastors' Conference and Berean National Convention (financial support provided). Attend ministry-focused conferences in addition to the Berean Pastors' Conference and Berean National Convention (financial support provided). Promote and participate in the Berean Fellowship.
