Job Description

The Norfolk Rescue Mission is looking for a godly, committed and faithful man to join our ministry team as a full-time Rescue Mission Pastor. We are a Gospel Rescue Mission, committed to presenting the truth of God's Word to the hurting and homeless of the Norfolk, NE area. The role of the Rescue Mission Pastor is critical to the purpose of the Mission. His role is to shepherd the men on campus, providing accountability, wisdom from God's Word and encouragement to make responsible decisions. He would also have need to be called and skilled in sharing the Gospel with the lost. Along with a reasonable salary, this poistion comes with a trendous amount of benefits. We have on-campus housing (a one bedroom apartment or a 3 bedroom house) available with all utilities provided. This full-time position comes with a Vacation and Holiday plan, sick time, Longevity Bonus, Health Insurance assistance, on-campus laundry , on-campus meals, and even free groceries... Note, we can negotionate the salary based on whether or not you would prefer to live on or off campus. This role requires basic computer and phone skills, the ability to provide shepherding oversight to a group of men and rightly diving the Word of God. Since an evening Chapel service is provided by the Rescue Mission Pastor, preaching and teaching skills are a must. A Bible college degree and ordination are desirable, but not required. The ability to lead in music is also a bonus. This is an evening position with a regular schedule of working 5 nights a week from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
