Job Description

General Summary:
Guided by DPC's mission, vision, and values, the Director of Children's Ministries leads the congregation's efforts to care for and to raise up ever-increasing numbers of faithful followers of Christ among the3-year-old to fifth grade population inside the church and out in the community.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Share God's Word and the Christian Faith with Children 2. Grow Dundee's ministry to and with children, empowering them to bear witness to Christ in all aspects of their daily lives. 3. Work closely with the Senior Pastor in establishing a vision and direction for the Children Ministry programs of Dundee Presbyterian Church. 4. Plan and implement an effective program of events, worship services, small group discussions and one-on-one outreach for children age 3 to fifth grade. 5. Recruit, train, equip and manage volunteers to appropriately love and engage children and to fully staff Children's Ministry programs and events. 6. Partner with parents in the Christian discipleship of their children. 7. Participate in worship services, as directed by the Senior Pastor. 8. Develop and oversee the annual Children's Ministry Budget 9. Attend staff meetings and maintain a cooperative leadership relationship with all members of the staff and congregation, working with the Directors of the Pre-K and Youth programs of the church to create strategies that bridge and unify these three ministries 10. Continue to mature in faith through prayer and continued education. 11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or Session.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities:
▪ Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating Christian maturity, Bible knowledge, and a deep and prayerful dependence upon God. ▪ Must have a passion for helping children grow in their faith. ▪ College degree in relevant field. ▪ Professional experience in church ministry to children and their families. ▪ Successful experience building teams and recruiting volunteers. ▪ Strong leadership, creative teaching approaches, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. ▪ Well organized with solid administration and communication skills and computer proficiency.
Pay:
$31,200.00 - $46,800.00 per year
