Church Kids Ministry Director Position Overview:

FIVE39 Church is seeking a full-time Kids Ministry Director to lead and develop a rapidly growing Kids Ministry, building leaders, systems, and environments that support long-term discipleship of children and their families. This role leads two part-time ministry leaders and a growing volunteer team.

Responsibilities:

Lead and execute the overall discipleship strategy for Kids Ministry (birth-5th grade) in alignment with the vision and direction of FIVE39 Church. Oversee curriculum selection and implementation while creating engaging, consistent, and spiritually formative environments for kids and families. Provide care and support for kids and families, helping foster spiritual growth and healthy relationships. Recruit, develop, and lead ministry leaders and volunteers by fostering a culture of ownership, communication, spiritual maturity, and excellence. Build and maintain scalable systems that support ministry growth, including safety protocols, volunteer structures, accountability, scheduling, and operational processes. Oversee the Kids Ministry budget and resources while monitoring ministry health through attendance, volunteer engagement, and leader development metrics. Lead and develop ministry initiatives and events such as VBS, family events, outreach opportunities, and volunteer appreciation nights, while continuously evaluating and improving ministry effectiveness.
