Pastor for Retirement Community We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastor to provide spiritual guidance, support, and leadership to residents of our retirement community. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by fostering a welcoming and nurturing environment rooted in faith and community. This position is a part-time position working up to 20 hours a week. Sunday morning worship service, a weekly bible study on Thursday nights, grief support monthly as well as services for celebration of life or funerals.Key Responsibilities:
Provide spiritual counseling and support to residents, their families, and staff Lead religious services, prayer meetings, and devotional activities Offer pastoral care and visit residents regularly to provide comfort and encouragement Coordinate and facilitate faith-based programs Collaborate with staff to address the spiritual needs of residents and promote holistic well-being Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse faith backgrounds Support residents during times of crisis, grief, or transition Our retirement community values a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel cared for and spiritually supported. Skills and Qualifications:
Ordained or licensed minister with relevant theological training in the protestant faith Prior experience working with seniors or in a retirement community setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful demeanor Ability to lead religious services and facilitate group discussions Knowledge of diverse faith traditions and inclusive practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of residentsSimilar jobs in Lansdale, PA
