Assistant Pastor with an Emphasis on Children & Youth First Baptist Church — Mifflintown, Pennsylvania (Please do Not apply if you don't live within the United States) First Baptist Church of Juniata County , located in the heart of Mifflintown, PA , is prayerfully seeking a full‑time Youth Pastor who is passionate about discipling the next generation and reaching families with the gospel of Jesus Christ. About Our Community Mifflintown is a small, close‑knit borough and the county seat of Juniata County , with a population of approximately 840 residents . Our church sits in a beautiful rural region between State College and Harrisburg , offering the charm of country living with access to larger cities just a short drive away . The area is known for its rolling farmland, strong family values, and a community that appreciates meaningful relationships and visible church presence. About First Baptist Church First Baptist Church is a growing, gospel‑centered congregation with a heart for reaching children, teens, and families. Our church enjoys excellent visibility in the community and is committed to strong biblical teaching, discipleship, and outreach. Position Summary The Youth Pastor will shepherd, disciple, and mentor students from middle school through high school, while also partnering with parents and volunteers to build a thriving, Christ‑centered youth ministry. This role includes teaching, planning events, organizing outreach, and helping students grow in their walk with Christ. Primary Responsibilities Teach biblically sound, engaging lessons that align with the church's doctrine Develop and implement discipleship pathways for students Lead weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and small groups Recruit, train, and encourage youth ministry volunteers Plan events, retreats, mission trips, and community outreach opportunities Build relationships with students and families through intentional pastoral care Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and leadership team for unified ministry direction Maintain safe‑church policies and ensure volunteer background checks are completed Awana, VBS, and other children ministries. Qualifications A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to youth ministry Agreement with the church's vision, doctrine, and mission Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred) Previous youth ministry experience (preferred) Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to teach God's Word accurately and age‑appropriately Musical ability is a plus (worship leading or accompaniment) Why Serve in Mifflintown?
