Worship Leader

Worship Leader New Life Church (New Cumberland, PA) 10-15 hours per week Position Summary New Life Church is seeking a spiritually mature and musically gifted Worship Leader to help lead our congregation in authentic worship. Primary Responsibilities Worship Leadership Lead worship for Sunday services (currently 10:30 AM gathering) Plan and lead engaging, biblically aligned worship sets that support the sermon theme. Selects songs that are Christ-Centered and Biblically Sound. Leads in a modern style with occasional hymns (led in a modern style). Cultivate a worship environment that is both spiritually meaningful and accessible to all ages Team Development Recruit, schedule, and disciple volunteer musicians and vocalists Lead weekly rehearsals (typically one evening per week) Develop a healthy, Christ-centered culture within the worship team Service Planning Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and ministry team to plan services Integrate music, Scripture, and transitions into a cohesive worship experience Help shape the overall flow of Sunday gatherings Lead special services (i.e. Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Funerals, etc.). Technical Oversight Partner with Audio/Visual Technician to oversee basic audio/visual needs related to worship (delegating where appropriate) Work with volunteers to ensure sound, slides, and livestream elements are prepared Qualifications Spiritual A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ with a vibrant devotional life. Lives a life worth emulating. Can echo Paul s words, follow me as a I follow Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1) Agreement with New Life Church s statement of faith Musical & Leadership Strong vocal ability and proficiency on a lead instrument (guitar or piano preferred) Experience leading worship in a church or similar setting Strong communication and organizational skills
