Part Time Director of Family Ministry

Plymouth First United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Director of Family Ministries to lead and strengthen faith formation for children, youth, college-age young adults, and their families. This ministry role helps young people grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and become fully integrated into the worship, service, fellowship, and witness of the congregation. The Director will partner with parents and caregivers, recruit and support volunteers, plan meaningful programs and events, and serve as a visible, encouraging presence in the life of the church. Disciple children, youth, and families through faith formation, worship participation, and Christian community. Plan and lead Sunday School, youth group, family events, and year-round ministry programs. Recruit, equip, and support volunteers while maintaining child and youth protection standards. Communicate with families, pastors, church leaders, and the congregation about ministry needs and opportunities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Be an energetic, committed Christian role model Have good administrative and creative abilities to plan and facilitate the programs. Have good communications skills, both personally and publicly. Have the ability to build personal relationships with the youth of the church as well as provide discipline and structure. Ability to recruit, train and sustain volunteers from various backgrounds and experiences.
