- Palliative Care (Main) Pay Rate Type Salary Pay Grade Health-25 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description Palliative Care Chaplain responsibilities include: trauma-informed communication meaning-centered and dignity-based interventions spiritual assessment and counseling supporting complex family dynamics cultural and religious considerations in medical decisions end-of-life rituals and transition support Additional Job Description Education and experience: Requires the equivalent of a Master's of Divinity from an accredited theological seminary and ordination as a priest, minister, or rabbi, with current ecclesiastical endorsement or endorsement eligibility; and four (4) units of clinical pastoral education approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or the National Jewish Welfare board, or equivalent clinical experience; one year of pastoral experience. Must be able to communicate well verbally. Must possess excellent relational, collegial and interdisciplinary skills.
