Job Requirements We are hiring a Bereavement Counselor to join our team! PRN (as needed) - 9:00am to 5:00pm Responsible for direct pastoral care for patients and families at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Acts as a support person for patients, caregivers, families and staff. Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team and serves as a liaison to patients and families that receive Palliative Care services at Restorative Care. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate. Minimum Requirements Education Master's Degree from an accredited seminary Experience Minimum of four units clinical pastoral education Minimum of 2 years ministerial experience License/Registration/Certifications Valid driver's license Preferred Requirements Preferred License/Registration/Certifications Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains Core Job Responsibilities Must be able to withstand long hours of standing, walking, sitting, stooping, and bending Must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in crisis situations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination, acceptable vision, and hearing needed in daily work Effective communication skills with command of the English language written and verbal Sit and view computer monitor for extended periods of time Requires extensive daily travel Must have extensive critical thinking and judgment skills Must be able to work as a team member with peers, department managers, staff and administration Strong organizational skills
