In this vital role, you will provide spiritual care rooted in Christian counseling, facilitate bereavement support, and foster a comforting environment that honors each individual's faith and personal beliefs. Duties Provide spiritual counseling and emotional support tailored to patients' faith backgrounds, primarily focusing on Christian practices but respecting diverse beliefs. Lead prayer sessions, religious rites, and spiritual rituals to comfort patients and families. Offer bereavement support to families before and after the loss of loved ones, guiding them through grief with compassion and understanding. Develop and deliver educational presentations on topics related to hospice care, spirituality, grief management, and crisis intervention to staff and community groups. Mentor healthcare team members on spiritual care best practices, fostering a holistic approach to patient well-being. Plan and coordinate community outreach events, workshops, or seminars that promote hospice services and spiritual wellness. Manage crisis situations with sensitivity, employing conflict management and crisis intervention skills to de-escalate distressing circumstances effectively. Qualifications Proven experience in hospice care or related healthcare settings with a focus on spiritual or pastoral services. Strong background in Christian counseling, with the ability to provide guidance rooted in faith-based principles. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, teaching, writing, and delivering presentations confidently. Demonstrated leadership abilities in mentoring staff or volunteers within a healthcare or community environment. Proficiency in event planning and organizing educational or support programs for diverse audiences. Skilled in crisis management techniques to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear boundaries and ethical standards.
