https://go.cultureindex.com/s/C3772B0000 Position Summary River Valley Church is seeking a passionate, Spirit-led Weekend Experience Pastor who is called to cultivate life-giving worship environments where people encounter the presence, power, and person of Jesus. This leader will provide visionary oversight to every aspect of the weekend experience—including worship, music, production, video, livestream, and creative elements—helping create moments that are biblically grounded, spiritually sensitive, engaging, and excellent. The Weekend Experience Pastor will champion a culture of worship that is authentic, presence-driven, and pastorally healthy while building thriving teams that serve with joy, humility, unity, and excellence. This individual will lead from both the platform and behind the scenes, equipping volunteers, mentoring leaders, and helping shape the spiritual culture of River Valley Church. The ideal candidate is a visionary builder with strong leadership instincts, musical gifting, and a deep love for the local church. They carry both a pastor's heart and a leader's edge—able to shepherd people well while also leading teams with clarity, conviction, creativity, and excellence. This person is passionate about raising up leaders, creating meaningful worship experiences, and helping usher people into genuine encounters with God. Primary Responsibilities Worship & Weekend Experiences Lead and oversee all aspects of River Valley's weekend worship experiences. Cultivate worship environments that are Spirit-led, biblically grounded, engaging, relevant, and excellent. Create moments where people can encounter Jesus and respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Plan and execute worship sets, service flow, transitions, creative elements, and special moments in collaboration with church leadership. Serve regularly as a worship leader and contribute strong vocal and/or instrumental leadership. Help advance the mission, vision, culture, and values of River Valley Church through every weekend experience. Collaborate with teaching pastors and ministry leaders to ensure services are cohesive, intentional, and spiritually impactful. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, develop, schedule, shepherd, and pastor volunteers serving in worship, production, and creative ministries. Build thriving, healthy, and growing volunteer teams including musicians, vocalists, audio engineers, lighting directors, camera operators, online team members, stage managers, and creative contributors. Create clear leadership pathways that identify, develop, and empower emerging leaders. Foster a culture of honor, humility, unity, spiritual growth, authenticity, and excellence. Provide coaching, encouragement, accountability, and ongoing development for team members. Cultivate an enjoyable, healthy, and spiritually vibrant team culture where volunteers feel known, valued, equipped, and needed. Creative & Production Oversight Oversee all production environments including audio, lighting, visuals, video, livestream, stage design, and online experiences. Collaborate with pastors and creative teams to execute distraction-free, engaging, and excellent worship experiences. Ensure systems, equipment, workflows, and service elements are prepared and functioning with excellence. Continue developing systems, structures, and processes that increase team health, organization, effectiveness, and scalability. Help steward creativity in a way that supports the presence of God and the mission of the church rather than performance-driven ministry. Pastoral Leadership Serve as a spiritual leader and culture carrier within the church staff and congregation. Shepherd volunteers and leaders with wisdom, authenticity, humility, and care. Participate in staff meetings, leadership development, church events, and pastoral responsibilities as needed. Model a lifestyle of worship, integrity, spiritual maturity, emotional health, and devotion to Jesus. Help cultivate a church culture marked by hunger for God, biblical truth, prayer, revival, and authentic community. Qualifications A clear calling from God into ministry and worship leadership. Deep understanding of biblical theology and the purpose of worship within the local church. Strong vocal and/or instrumental musical ability. Proven experience leading worship and building healthy, effective teams. Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and relational skills. Ability to recruit, inspire, develop, and retain volunteers and leaders. Experience with modern worship technology, production systems, and livestream environments. A collaborative spirit with the ability to lead both creatively and strategically. Emotionally healthy, spiritually mature, and committed to continual growth. Worship becomes a defining culture of the church across every generation—from children to adults. Leaders are being developed and multiplied within worship, production, and creative ministries.
