Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Pastor of Southern Baptist affiliation to inspire and guide young people within our community. This vibrant role involves fostering spiritual growth, providing mentorship, and creating engaging programs that resonate with youth. As a Youth Pastor, you will serve as a positive role model, nurturing the faith journey of adolescents while supporting their emotional and social development through compassionate leadership and dynamic teaching. Your energy and commitment will help build a welcoming environment where young individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to live out their faith. Responsibilities Develop and lead youth-focused spiritual programs, Bible studies, and outreach events that encourage active participation and spiritual growth Provide mentorship and counseling to youth, including offering Christian counseling and bereavement support when needed Organize community service projects, retreats, camps, and social activities that foster fellowship and leadership skills among young people Collaborate with parents, church staff, and community partners to create a supportive network for youth development Lead fundraising efforts to support youth programs, ensuring resources are available for impactful activities Offer guidance on social work issues affecting youth, including working with children facing personal or family challenges Facilitate open communication channels where youth feel comfortable sharing their concerns and experiences Requirements Proven experience in teaching or mentoring youth within a Christian-based setting or community organization Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young people Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with adolescents, parents, and team members Ability to plan engaging events and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously Experience working with children in diverse settings, including social work or educational environments Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe environment rooted in compassion and faith Basic computer skills required Working directly with Church staff and other support teams College degree preferred but not required
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
