Job Description

Position Overview The Groups & Connections Pastor will play a critical role in helping people move from first-time guest to fully engaged disciple . This leader will oversee small groups, guest assimilation, and volunteer engagement-creating clear, effective pathways for people to connect, grow, and serve. We are looking for a relational builder, strategic thinker, and strong leader of leaders who thrives in a growing, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Vision & Strategy Champion the vision for groups and connections across the church Build and refine scalable systems that help people connect and grow Align all groups and assimilation strategies with overall church vision Groups Ministry Leadership Launch and grow a healthy, multiplying small groups ministry Recruit, train, and coach group leaders and coaches Develop leadership pipelines for ongoing multiplication Oversee systems, registrations, and technology for groups Guest Assimilation & Engagement Lead and strengthen the entire guest follow-up process Create clear next steps (New Here Dinners, Next Steps, Foundations, Groups, Serving) Cultivate a people-first culture where every guest is known and pursued Track engagement metrics and implement improvements Volunteer Engagement Build systems that help people find their place to serve Partner with ministry leaders to maintain strong volunteer pipelines Develop team leads and ensure consistency across departments Pastoral Leadership Provide pastoral care within groups and connections Be highly visible and relational within the church Help people build meaningful relationships and take next steps Teach classes and actively participate in discipleship environments Administrative Oversee budgets, calendars, and ministry systems Manage database and technology for effective ministry execution Participate in staff meetings and leadership rhythms What We re
Looking For Personal Characteristics:
A builder , not just a maintainer Highly relational with strong emotional intelligence Strategic, organized, and execution-driven Gifted communicator and confident teacher Proven leader of leaders who multiplies volunteers Pastoral heart with the ability to lead at scale Passionate about discipleship, community, and mobilization
Qualifications:
Proven experience leading small groups, discipleship, or assimilation in a growing church Experience developing volunteer leadership pipelines Strong teaching and vision-casting ability Alignment with the theology, culture, and vision of The Ark Church Schedule & Expectations Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Office:
Monday-Thursday Required:
Sunday & Wednesday services Involvement in groups, trainings, and church events
