Are you a visionary leader with deep passion and conviction to shepherd the next generation (babies through 12th) to know, love, and find their identity in Jesus Christ? We're seeking an experienced individual who will use their creativity, grit, and enthusiasm to serve, engage, and develop Legacy Church members to boldly pursue our children's hearts through ministry. As the heartbeat of our NextGen programs, you'll be the driving force behind recruiting, equipping, and unleashing leaders to invest in the lives of our kids and youth. Your role extends to modeling integrity, living out Biblical truth, and actively participating in the mission of Legacy Church while living within 5-10 miles of the community of Plano, Texas.

What We're Looking For:

Our ideal candidate is a self-aware self-starter with a passion for administration and organization along with an innate knack for relational leadership. If you're an influential communicator who can think on your feet, solve problems, and inspire action, you're the one we're looking for. Extensive collaboration with our dedicated coordinators, staff, and volunteer teams is crucial as we grow the NextGen programs that support our kids, youth, and families. Success in this position requires the desire and demonstrated expertise to drive Legacy's strategies forward, as well as a willingness and ability to jump seamlessly between "player" and "coach" roles. Skills in recruiting, equipping, and training leaders are essential. A good sense of humor is a definite plus.

Your Role:

As the NextGen Pastor, you'll be responsible for championing every age group within Legacy Church, inspiring a collective commitment to invest in the next generation. While giving leadership to our overall philosophy of NextGen ministries, you will have a primary focus on children's ministry, and give leadership support and collaborate with our Youth Pastor. Align the team. Recruit, manage, and develop volunteers who share your passion for leading children towards Jesus. Gauge effectiveness. Help define success and measure markers of impact. Serve your leaders. Actively assist ministry leaders, ensuring tools, resources, and communication systems are efficient and effective. Expand learning. Equip the team with the knowledge and skills it takes to lead their kids, always staying ahead to foster growth. Partner with parents. Forge meaningful partnerships with parents, recognizing their unique influential role in the lives of their children and seeking continuous improvement in collaboration to collectively raise the next generation with love and faith. Elevate community. Give every kid a caring leader and a predictable, safe community where they can grow spiritually. Reveal and refine the message through meaningful shared experiences. Craft core truths into impactful, relevant, and memorable experiences.

Your Experience:

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing ministry programs, managing volunteers, and recruiting and developing leaders. You may have been a director, student pastor, or children's pastor in a previous role, and as such you possess administration skills along with your passion for ministry. Bonus points if you're familiar with infusing the Orange philosophy into NextGen ministry models and love implementing their strategically fun-loving methods.
