Familia Kids Director Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Familia Kids Director at Familia Church. This position will play a vital role in cultivating a vibrant and engaging environment for our Children, families, and volunteers. The Familia Kids Director will work closely with these groups, dedicating 20 hours per week to creating meaningful connections, fostering discipleship, and assisting with various church activities. Wednesdays will primarily be office work days, focusing on discipleship, meetings, and planning, while Sundays will involve interacting with Children, volunteers, and families during Church services.

Responsibilities:

1. Engage with

Families :

• Build relationships with families attending Familia Church.
• Offer support and resources to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with families to organize family-focused events and activities.
• Provide mentorship and assistance to parents to help aid in the spiritual formation of their children.

2.

Assist Volunteers :

• Recruit, train, and support Familia Kids volunteers.
• Train volunteers in any area that needs improvement.
• How to move in the Spirit when children are experiencing the Holy Spirit
• How to guide students in a guided prayer
• How to pray over children
• How to manage behavior in the classroom
• Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture.
• Facilitate regular communication and guide volunteers.

3.

Teaching Children:

• Work with the Assistant Director to develop and implement relevant and engaging programs for children.
• Read weekly lessons
• Teach Bible Lesson every Sunday to children in kindergarten-5th grade
• Organize and lead weekly children's gatherings or events.
• Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance to children during Sunday School
• Share vision and heart behind every bible lesson to Familia kids staff and volunteers (this can be done every quarter)
• Be able to adjust the curriculum to accommodate different age groups of students 4. Office Work Days (Wednesdays):
• Inspire and lead the Familia kids Team
• Cast vision for Kids Ministry
• Attend staff meetings
• Supervise the Familia Kids Team
• 5. Church Service Support (Sundays):
• Participate in church services and engage with children, volunteers, and families.
• Assist with closing duties, ensuring the church is ready for the following week.
• Assist with other areas of the mission as needed.
• Supervise and maintain clean and organized classrooms
• Lead and assist in the setup and breakdown of classrooms

Qualifications:

• A deep commitment to the Christian faith and Living life of a Leader document..
• Proven experience in working with Children, families, or a similar community-oriented role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with diverse individuals.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and engage in creative problem-solving.
