A growing relationship with Jesus Christ A perception of a call from God to serve in local church ministry College or comparable Minimum of one year of experience in a church setting Must successfully pass a criminal background check including a driving record check Must be able to communicate effectively with all age groups Must have excellent organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision
  • Support the vision of the lead/senior pastor and the Board of Directors for
Leap of Faith Church:
LOFC is independent of any denomination, inclusive of all, oriented toward serving our neighbors, and committed to following Jesus Christ. Small groups for adults
  • Develop, plan, resource, organize, and oversee the adult (post-high school and up) Sunday morning education and fellowship program, recruiting and training teachers, helping provide content, and starting new classes and groups, particularly for new members and attenders), on a regular basis (every six months and as needed).
  • Develop, plan, resource, organize, and oversee the adult (post-high school and up) weekday education and fellowship program, recruiting and training teachers, and starting classes and groups, particularly for new members and attenders)on a regular basis (every six months and as needed).
  • Teach/lead adult classes and groups regularly, rotating among them as requested. Other ministry to/with adults
  • Visit church members, attenders, and others in need in homes, hospitals, and care facilities as needed, offering pastoral care and friendship.
  • Assist with weddings and funerals as requested.
  • Participate in follow-up ministry to visitors and new members.
  • Assist with event planning and implementation. Worship
  • Lead worship and preach in the online and sanctuary worship services as requested. Mission
  • Cultivate relationships with local organizations and ministries.
  • Plan and carry out short
  • and longer-term mission projects appropriate in scope and purpose to LOFC. Business/stewardship of resources
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Purchase supplies and curriculum as needed or requested in accordance with the church budget and purchasing policies.
  • Participate in developing, scheduling, and managing building use and upkeep. Meetings
  • Attend staff meetings, generally held weekly.

  • Cultivate an ever-deepening deepening relationship with God and an ever-strengthening reliance on faith through personal prayer, reflection, Bible study, fasting, and other disciplines.
  • Observe a personal day of rest each week with time spent alone and/or with family and friends.

DESIRED OUTCOMES
The desired outcome of this ministry cooperative position is that Leap of Faith Church members and friends will develop deeper and more meaningful relationships with God, Jesus, and one another through intentional study, fellowship, and service opportunities.
Pay:
$23.06
