Senior Pastor Job Posting Senior Pastor Full-Time | Exempt Position Are you passionate about preaching the Gospel, shepherding people, and leading a church toward spiritual growth and community impact? We are prayerfully seeking a Christ-centered, visionary Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in faith, discipleship, and mission. Position Summary The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church, responsible for proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching biblical truth, providing pastoral care, and offering administrative leadership across all areas of church life and ministry. This individual will inspire spiritual growth, equip believers for ministry, and help cultivate a culture of worship, discipleship, outreach, and servant leadership. Key Responsibilities Spiritual Leadership Preach and teach biblically grounded, engaging sermons and lessons Lead the congregation in passionate and meaningful worship Provide spiritual direction and pastoral leadership for the church community Encourage discipleship, spiritual growth, and faith development Pastoral Care Minister to church members through visitation, counseling, prayer, and crisis support Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, dedications, and other pastoral functions Foster a culture of compassion, encouragement, and care within the congregation Leadership & Administration Collaborate with church staff and leadership to establish and execute church vision and strategy Oversee church operations, budgeting, financial planning, and personnel management Mentor and support staff and volunteers while cultivating a healthy, collaborative ministry environment Community Engagement Build relationships within the local community Lead outreach and mission initiatives Partner with community organizations to address local needs and expand ministry impact Qualifications Deep commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ Graduate of an accredited seminary or divinity school Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead pastoral role Proven experience leading and supervising church staff Strong communication skills across multiple platforms and media Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with church leaders, committees, teachers, and ministry teams Work Schedule & Benefits Full-time exempt position with flexible office hours Regular office presence expected during the week Encouragement and support for maintaining a weekly Sabbath Vacation and time off coordinated with church leadership Sabbatical opportunities available every 7-10 years Continuing education and professional development encouraged and supported Ideal Candidate We are seeking a humble, Spirit-led pastor who: Loves people deeply Communicates God's Word faithfully Leads with integrity and wisdom Values discipleship and leadership development Has a heart for both the church and the surrounding community How to Apply Interested candidates should submit: Resume Cover letter Statement of faith Links or recordings of recent sermons References Please send application materials to: Dave Ireland at office@gracefellowshipsnyder.com We are excited to see how God may be calling the next shepherd for our church family.
