Full-Time Position Summary :
The Executive Pastor of Campuses provides strategic leadership, pastoral care, and operational oversight for all campuses of South Mountain Community Church. This role is responsible for developing and executing campus-level strategies, ensuring alignment with the church's mission, vision, and values, and fostering a healthy, thriving staff culture. This leader will oversee staff care initiatives, champion best practices across campuses, and support Campus Pastors in effective ministry leadership and execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Campus Strategy & Execution Directly oversees and evaluates Campus Pastors Leads campus staffing decisions in alignment with Lead Pastor Holds responsibility for campus health, effectiveness, and alignment Lead the implementation of SMCC's vision, strategies, and ministry initiatives at the campus level Ensure consistency and excellence across all campuses while allowing for contextual flexibility Develop and refine systems, processes, and best practices to improve campus effectiveness Works in close partnership with the Executive Pastor of Operations to ensure campus strategies are fully supported by systems, staffing, and resources. 2. Staff Leadership & Care Provide pastoral care, coaching, and leadership development for campus Cultivate a healthy, aligned, and spiritually vibrant staff culture Oversee staff care systems including encouragement, crisis care, conflict resolution, and leadership health Assist in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of campus staff 3. Leadership Development Mentor and coach Campus Pastors and key leaders Identify and develop emerging leaders within the church Create leadership pipelines and training environments 4. Vision & Culture Champion Reinforce and model the mission, vision, and values of South Mountain Community Church Help maintain a unified culture across all campuses Act as a key voice in strategic planning and decision-making Success Indicators Frontline metrics are accomplished each year Increased retention of campus staff Identifiable leadership pipeline throughout the church Reduction in unresolved staff conflict or crisis escalation Project planning processes for identified areas of improvement Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in a church or comparable organizational setting Proven experience in multi-site church leadership or large ministry environments preferred Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and manage multiple teams and departments Strong organizational, strategic thinking, and execution skills Pastoral heart with a passion for staff care and leadership development Excellent communication and relational skills Alignment with SMCC's Vision, Values and SMCC Way Core Competencies Leadership & Influence Strategic Thinking & Execution Emotional Intelligence & Pastoral Care Team Development Organizational Alignment Problem Solving & Decision Making Spiritual Expectations A growing, vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ Commitment to biblical leadership and servant-hearted ministry Active participation in the life of the church Models integrity, humility, and Christ-centered leadership
Summary :
