Job Description
Who We Are CenterPoint Church is a multi-site faith-family of 2200 people and growing, affiliated with the EFCA denomination. We re positioned strategically in Orem, a sister city to Provo & the center of Utah county. 20 minutes from the Sundance Ski Resort and even less from the back country of the Wasatch mountain range, we're planted amongst an outdoor adventure culture. Who We re Reaching The cities we reach in this community consist of over 750,000 people, over 80% of which profess faith in Mormonism and the LDS Church. Positioned a half mile from our campus is the largest university in the state, Utah Valley University, with 41,000 students. Just over 3 miles away is the LDS-owned university, BYU, with 31,000 enrolled. We are positioned amongst the two, in the youngest city/county/state in the nation where the average age is 23. The potential to reach this demographic is largely unmet. Our mission is to make Jesus the Centerpoint of people's lives and make him known from the CenterPoint of this unique, unreached valley. Who We re Hiring We are looking for a strategic architect and equipper to lead the CPYA (CenterPoint Young Adults) ministry. We believe young adults are best discipled by belonging to a vibrant peer tribe that is activated as vital contributors & participants in the overall mission of the intergenerational church. This role requires a leader who can move young adults from spectators to stakeholders, while possessing the confidence and clarity to advocate for the Gen Z mission to older generations. You must be an assertive communicator of vision-able to confidently compel older generational 'Spiritual Parents' to the cause, while finding your greatest success in the strategies and systems that move every student from an anonymous seat to a discipleship circle. The ideal candidate is a high-capacity leader who does not require stage time to feel successful, deriving more joy from equipping others to succeed, yet possesses the command & confidence to step into it whenever the mission demands a visible front.
