As the entry level position in the project manager job family, Project Coordinators work with Project and Production Managers to execute specific deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. Project Coordinators work with defined project teams to produce simple or templated deliverables. Permissions and Contracts Management
  • Receive and send all permission requests for future use; process permissions in RMS and assign contract numbers. Contract Coordination with IPO
  • Submit all new contracts to IPO for signature and track approvals. Vendor and Design Coordination
  • Work with vendors and designers to secure contracts and resolve any missing permissions or assets. RMS Deliverables and Reporting
  • Create deliverables and IP reports for: Youth Magazine (print) Youth Magazine (digital-only) Monthly Messages Ecclesiastical Clearance
  • Contact bishops for all members featured in the magazine to obtain required approvals. Member Research and Outreach
  • Work with Member Support (authorized access) to locate members, gather missing information, and obtain permissions/photos when editors are unable to locate member contact information. Cross-Team Coordination
  • Work closely with the youth team to resolve IP, design, or content-related issues before deadlines. General Authority Approvals
  • Coordinate article approvals with General Authorities.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Train new interns on contracts, FTSOY inbox, and database management. Create magazine distribution address lists for complimentary copies to be sent to members featured in the magazine and submit them to the distribution center. Request for access for new individuals to RMS, AEM, Authorized List, FTSOY inbox, VPN, and other systems. Lead weekly coordination meetings with missionaries to review priorities and assignments. May recruit and train new missionaries during transitions, filling gaps where needed. Participate in improvement process and creativity meetings. Oversee the planning and execution of defined deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. Complete required documentation using project management software to monitor and control the execution of projects. Address any issues that arise during execution. Communicate status to project sponsors throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that project commitments are met (on-time and on-budget delivery). Support administrative needs of management, including financial queries, project performance reports, documentation maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration, Digital Media, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of professional experience, preferably in project-based environments. Sound understanding of Church organization, doctrine, policy, and practice. Ability to solve problems with limited oversight. Exhibits leadership skills including the ability to work well with, communicate to, and motivate others. Experience collaborating across multiple divisions and departments. Demonstrates organizational, analytical, research, prioritization, and planning skills, including setting and meeting deadlines. Effective at prioritizing and simultaneously managing dozens of active assignments. Proficient in business tools like Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Tableau, Workfront, etc. To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements that need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
