Job Description Church of the Resurrection has evolved from a community of families and individuals to a smaller mature congregation of couples and individuals. Facing an uncertain future in 2011; we chose faith, generosity, and new life through a decade-long walk with God that resulted in affordable housing and a new church on our property. Our current "campus" also includes Goodwin House Alexandria, an Episcopal based continuing care retirement residence. and our Memorial Garden. When you walk in our doors for the quiet 8:00 am service or the 10:00 am service with music, you'll find thoughtful and meaningful preaching, warmth, acceptance, a sense of purpose, and a congregation that knows and loves each other. We are blessed with a congregation that is resilient, collaborative, flexible and forward-looking. We are faith in action and continually reimagine our role. We value creativity, shared leadership, and faithful risk-taking. We seek a rector who will partner with us to build on this foundation—someone eager to help us grow in faith and service, is community-minded, and pastorally attuned to lead us into the next season of ministry. Our new Rector will share our passion for racial and social justice and inclusion.
