Job Description

Associate Pastor 1086 Highway 395 N, Kettle Falls, WA 99141 Full-time Full-time Columbia River Bible Church in the beautiful northeast Washington mountains is seeking an
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
to come alongside the pastor to continue and expand a vibrant ministry for Christ to this small mountain community. With a nearly 50 year emphasis on expository preaching, prayer, home Bible studies & discipleship, missions, and children's ministries, CRBC has been helping people know Christ, to grow in their faith, and to serve. For 52 years the church has fully sponsored a K-12 Christian school providing quality Christian education and has served and impacted many local Christian families. This position will involve assisting the senior pastor in discipleship, Bible teaching, youth/children's ministry, counseling, visitation, as well as involvement in the Christian school ministry. Opportunities for expansion and creation of new ministries are sought and welcomed. Christ Associate Pastor Position Description Qualifications:
 Agreement with doctrinal statements of our fellowship (www.mycrbc.org)  Formal ministry training (Bible school, seminary, local internship) preferred, or be willing to obtain this qualification through a formal ministry training process  Submit documented evidence of discipleship and ministry involvement  Submit written personal testimony  Experience with youth ministry  Married applicants preferred  Three letters of recommendation (current and former pastors preferred)  Applicant (and if married, spouse) agrees to interview with committee
Responsibilities & Expectations:
 Effectively teach and preach the Word of God and provide pulpit support as needed in senior pastor's absence Teach quarterly small group Bible studies Conduct Columbia River Christian Academy chapel as needed  Serve under the direction and mentorship of the senior pastor Consider serving as eventual replacement of senior pastor  Serve with direction and support of elder board with view of future eldership  Regular involvement with worship activities  Perform shared visitations as needed with elders (home, hospital, visitors/new members, nursing home, hospice)  Leadership and regular involvement with youth activities  Counseling (pastoral, premarital, etc.)  Conduct weddings, funerals as minister/officiant
Additional Skills Preferred:
 Technical skills (web site development, media, etc.)
