Plans and facilitates Sacramental Preparation Programs in collaboration with appropriate groups or individuals in the parish and/or region.ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES
A. Collaborates with the pastor, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish. B. Assures the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan for faith formation for all age levels, as delegated by the pastoral leader. C. Manages the Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparation programs for the parish and supervises directors and administrative support staff for these programs, includingOCIA, OCIA
Adapted for Children, Children's First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, Adult Confirmation, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and Children's Faith Formation (CFF). D. Has direct responsibility for planning, implementing and teaching Faith Formation programs for Infant Baptism, Marriage Preparation, Welcome Back to Returning Catholics, ongoing Bible Study and other year-round adult faith formation opportunities. E. Leads or attends planning meetings related to faith formation events, objectives, strategies, and goals. H. Recruits, trains, motivates, and provides general and specific direction to volunteers involved with faith formation activities and programs. I. Develops and administers the budget for faith formation. J. Collaborates with and directs the administrative assistant to ensure purchase and allocation of equipment and materials for faith formation programs. K. Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for this Catholic ministry through certifications, regular updating, reading appropriate materials and participation at workshops and conventions. Participates in local, regional, and national professional organizations, as approved and as appropriate. L. Oversees accurate maintenance of program records. M. Prepares correspondence related to faith formation. N. Attends community and parish family meetings to promote faith formation objectives. and activities. O. Performs other duties as assigned. Parish Family 17: St. James Cathedral, Immaculate Conception, Christ Our Hope The successful candidate will be an active member of a Catholic parish faith community; have at least 4 years recent successful experience in child and adult catechesis; B.A. degree required and master's degree in theology preferred; demonstrated ability to collaborate with parish staff as part of a team; demonstrated ability to supervise and collaborate with faith formation directors and administrative assistants; demonstrated ability to recruit and support volunteer catechists; ability to work evenings and weekends. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.Benefits:
