The Role:
The Assistant Director of Residential Services provides leadership and operational oversight for residential and day programs, including Group Homes, IDLA (Individually Designed Living Arrangements), and DTA (Day Treatment for Adults). This role ensures all services are delivered in full compliance with Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep experience in DDD-funded services who is committed to person-centered care, regulatory excellence, and improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities Program Oversight Oversee daily operations of Group Homes, IDLA, and DTA programs Ensure services align with each member's Individual Support Plan (ISP) / Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP) Monitor program quality and implement continuous improvements Promote independence, dignity, and community integration Ensure compliance with: Arizona DDD Provider Manual Qualified Vendor Agreement (QVA) Arizona Administrative Code (AAC)
AHCCCS/ALTCS & HCBS
Final Rule Prepare for audits, monitoring visits, and inspections Oversee documentation including incident reports, med logs, and service notes Quality Assurance Conduct internal audits and program reviews Monitor documentation accuracy and timeliness Develop and track corrective action plans Ensure audit readiness across all programs Staff Leadership & Development Supervise Program Managers, House Managers, and Coordinators Lead hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts Ensure staff meet DDD training requirements (Article 9, CPR/First Aid, Prevention & Support, Medication Administration) Conduct performance evaluations and coaching Person-Centered & HCBS Compliance Assist with budget oversight and expense monitoring Manage staffing ratios and scheduling for compliance and efficiency Allocate resources across multiple program sites Partner with DDD Support Coordinators, families, and providers Participate in ISP meetings and interdisciplinary planning Serve as liaison during audits and external reviews Protect member rights, privacy, and dignity Ensure services align with HCBS principles: Member choice and autonomy Community integration Least restrictive environment Incident Management Oversee incident reporting and investigations Ensure timely submissions and compliance with DDD requirements Implement corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Master's preferred) 3-5 years of experience in DDD-funded services (Group Homes, IDLA, DTA) Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience Working Conditions Frequent travel between program sites On-call availability for emergencies and critical incidents Participation in audits, inspections, and after-hours compliance needs
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
