We partner with clients and the community to promote recovery from mental illness and substance use, treating more than 7,500 adults and children each year. CMHA is looking to hire a Full-Time Residential Monitor for our Transitional Youth Program (TYP). This position will be located at 2 Wildwood St. New Britain, CT 06051. This position will be Thursday
  • Monday, 7am
  • 3pm.
Compensation Range:
The salary range for this position starts at $19.00 per hour. Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary:
The Residential Monitor provides support to the program team by assisting clients with achieving daily living skills and routine activities/chores. Provides staff coverage to the program as identified by program schedule. Assists clients with maintaining all outside appointments and activities by providing transportation and reporting back to program staff clients' accomplishments and information related to client care.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides direct assistance to program clients in the accomplishment of activities of daily living, routine program chores, and personal treatment goals Demonstrates and coaches the development of skills identified as goals in the treatment plan. Provides transportation for clients to maintain medical or other appointments outside the program. Responds appropriately and in compliance with agency Policies and Procedures to emergent incidents/accidents that develop with clients and/or in the environment of care by contacting and reporting to 911 and chain of command. Supervises self-administration of medication with clients as scheduled, following protocols as trained. Completes all shift notes and required documentation that relates to client care, and communicates all relevant activity to incoming shift staff. Maintains safety, security and satisfaction of clients by monitoring the environment of care and ensuring the physical environment is in compliance with regulations, and by making and documenting routine hourly checks of clients. Education:
High School Diploma or GED Credentials and Licenses:
Must have valid driver's license Will become certified in MANDT, First Aid, and CPR. Participate in trainings on an annual basis, as assigned. Experience Successful experience working in Case Management or related field with a solid understanding of Mental Health conditions, preferably a minimum of one year. Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook. Experience in or willingness to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Knowledge of age specific milestones for the broad range of adult clients. Ability to ensure the security and confidentiality of client information and records in a manner consistent with professional and agency codes of ethics. Awareness/sensitivity to all types of issues related to client diversity.
