Martin House Recovery for
Life Residential Support Staff Position:
Recovery For Life Residential Support Staff Reports to:
Housing Director Classification:
Full-Time FLSA:
Non-exempt (hourly) FT Monday thru Friday 4p 12A or 4 p to 12a staff $18.00 $18.50 Residential Support Staff provide oversight of Martin House and assist with meals, guest interaction, set-up and clean-up. Staff are responsible for maintaining the health and safety of previous homeless adults.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend the mandatory PSRB Acquittee Fundamental Training Program. Attend mandatory CPR and First Aid training. Complete all mandatory training. Good written and oral communication skills. Provide daily oversight to all residents involved in the program. Complete incident reports as needed. Maintain residents' papers/chart. Ability to navigate self in every resident's electronic client record. Cue residents for medication-administering program. Complete daily documentation as required by the program. Complete room checks to ensure residents are maintaining cleanliness/upkeep of the room. Assist residents on developing daily living skills such a cleaning, shopping, transportation, budgeting, personal hygiene, sex education, and other areas. File all paperwork as needed. Report all changes in behavior or mental state to appropriate team members (i.e. Program Director, etc.). Provide transportation to appointments or scheduled activities. Participate and facilitate all safety drills. Report all maintenance, environment, or emergency situations to the appropriate people. Maintain cleanliness of the office and facility on a daily basis which includes but is not limited to vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting and removing trash. Ability to lift a minimum of ten pounds. Ability to utilize agency vehicles. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work effectively with homeless individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.  Interest in helping volunteers and participants feel welcome while ensuring a safe environment. Ability to develop rapport, provide information, and refer with sensitivity to cultural issues. Display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimumsupervision. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with social services and/or homeless programs. Position Requirements Successful completion of background screening. Reliable transportation.
