TBD The Coordinator of Residence Life and Student Activities (Live-on) is a live-on, student-facing professionalstaff member responsible for supporting residential community development, student engagement, and Residential and some Campus Activitiesoperations. This position serves as a key member of the college's student affairs team, collaborating closely with various campusdepartments to address the diverse needs of the student population. The Coordinator of Residence Life and Student Activities will assiststudents with residential needs and implement engagement initiatives, thereby fostering a nurturing, safe, and inclusive campus environment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Provides leadership and support for residential communities with some eveningand weekend presence Supervise Resident Assistants and Resident Directors Assists with the student conduct processes,documentation, and educational interventions Assists with room assignments, coordinating health and safety inspections and drills,and other administrative functions Work with students on roommate mediation, student roommate agreements, room assignment changes,and other related activities Work closely with student staff to foster an engaged and belonging community Providesupport to staff on housing and campus-wide policies and procedures Assist with Resident Assistant and Resident Directorinterviews, selection, training, and supervision Respond to student concerns related to wellness, conflict, and safety, makingappropriate referrals Meet regularly with Resident Directors to discuss issues within the residence halls, etc. Serve onvarious campus committees (Student Conduct, Title
IX, CARE
Team, etc.) Assists with planning for residence hall opening, closing,and break operations Assists with planning New Student Orientation, Homecoming, Welcome Week, etc. Assist with theimplementation of campus programs, traditions, and community-building initiatives Assist with the training and development ofResident Assistants and Resident Directors Oversee and advise campus Greek life and assist with the administration of otherstudent organization activities and co-curricular initiatives Work closely with faculty, staff, and CARE Team when addressing astudent in crisis Contribute to the assessment and surveys for continuous improvement of student affairs programs and services Provides administrative and other support to the Office of Student Affairs Participate in all departmental meetings Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior experience supervising a professionalstudent staff Prior experience developing students Evidence of cultural competence and inclusiveness; sensitivity toand understanding of diverse perspectives that students and staff bring to their work, including those of academic, socioeconomic, cultural,race and ethnicity, ability, gender, sexuality, and intersectional identities Effective oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as ina team environment, and to work collaboratively with students and colleagues Demonstrated sound judgment and integrity
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to lift and or move heavy items.

You will also be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, higher education, marketing, human resources, or related field, and 1-3 years of professionalwork experience working in a higher education setting or related setting.
