Blue Island, IL Primary Demographic:
Young women (ages 17-21) currently in the state's care (DCFS/probation) or transitioning out of foster care and homelessness. Unlimited Potential (UP House) provides a safe, structured environment designed to empower young women as they move toward independent living. Our services are rooted in trauma-informed care , gender-responsive programming, and holistic developmentResidential Coach:
Core Requirements Unlimited Potential NFP, Inc. | Blue Island, IL Mission Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of residents while helping create a structured, respectful, and growth-oriented environment.Key Duties Daily Supervision & Coaching:
Supervise daily activities and monitor compliance with program rules and curfews.Environment Maintenance:
Conduct regular facility safety and cleanliness checks.Coaching Role:
Actively coach youth in care to maintain their personal spaces, including making beds, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.Direct Action:
In instances where youth do not maintain cleanliness, the Residential Coach is responsible for performing these tasks to ensure a sanitary living environment.Daily Documentation:
Maintain detailed daily notes and documentation of all resident activities, sign-in/out logs, and daily activity reports.Incident Management:
Prepare accurate, real-time incident reports and respond to resident crises or emergencies according to established protocols.Meal Support:
Assist with meal distribution; a ServSafe certification is a significant plus for safe food handling and preparation.Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience:
1-2 years of experience in social services, residential settings, or a related field preferred.Certifications:
CPR/First Aid certification is required (or must be obtained immediately upon hire).Licensure:
A valid Driver's License with a clean/good driving record is preferred to ensure readiness in the event of an emergency.Availability:
Must be able to work flexible shifts , including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 facility coverage.Core Skills:
Strong conflict resolution skills, the ability to remain calm in crises, and a commitment to trauma-informed care .Benefits:
