Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
40 Hours Per week This position is responsible for: Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army housing program; guards the security the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitors client's behavior and activities to ensure compliance with program, and facility rules guidelines; directs clients in a trauma-informed way of the appropriate behavior in order to stay in the program/facility. Provides security for the building and grounds by being aware of activities happening in residential quarters; maintains awareness of activities occurring outside of the building; ensures that vehicles are parked in designated areas; ensures property and vehicles are not vandalized. Monitors and assists clients signing in/out of the facility; ensures compliance with program/facility rules.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility; duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting. Work is performed in a normal social service housing environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
Employee Benefits:
Full-time Paid Time Off 403b Retirement High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required AND six months experience working with the public with experience work in a security or social service environment preferred OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

First Aid and C.P.R.
