Job Description

Essential Duties Provide prompt, friendly service to all customers (residents, guests, staff, faculty, parents, etc). Greet and be aware of all persons entering the residence hall. Conduct check in process for guests of residents. Follow guidelines set forth by the Housing and Residence Life department through the Desk Assistant Manual. Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as directed by Housing and Residence Life. Report directly to and fulfill all duties as assigned by supervising Administrative Assistant for Housing and Residence Life. Minimum Qualifications Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25. Must be enrolled as a full time MUW student. Must remain in good judicial standing with the university and department. Job Description Summary A Desk Assistant is a customer service-based student worker position in the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The primary responsibility of the position is to monitor and carry out the visitation policy within the residence halls at MUW. This includes but is not limited to, checking in visitors appropriately, maintain a professional and positive presence at the front desk during visitation hours.
