The Resident Relations Assistant creates a healthy, actively enriched lifestyle for residents. This position assists all departments in supporting the Optimal Living® philosophy and the seven dimensions of wellness. The Resident Relations Assistant assists in the gathering of and dissemination of information in support of resident admissions, orientation, continuing stay and resident move outs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.
  • Prepares and provides new resident binder and welcome gift to Move-In Coordinator before move in.
  • Works with Move-In Coordinator to conduct Monthly New Resident orientation for new residents and if requested, with resident family.
  • Works closely with each department to ensure resident requests are processed and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Troubleshoots issues, as appropriate, with cable and Wi-Fi connections and arranges, for outside support if necessary or directs resident to appropriate outside support.
  • Coordinates with Resident Relations Director, Resident Care Team and the Chaplain to provide support for the sick. Obtains supplies or flowers & cards to be delivered to residents in hospital/rehab/home.
  • Assists Resident Relations Director with annual follow up interviews with residents to determine resident engagement, review safety procedures, ensure Resident Information Form is complete and Philips Carepoint PHB is active. Report results to appropriate departments to connect resident to best resources to promote an Optimal Living® experience.
  • Assist management in identifying resident preferences or needs in order to provide personalized service and manage resident requests for personalized, upgraded services.
  • Provide personal services of the highest level that may include, but not limited to: appointment setting, personal assistant tasks, organization, assistance with phones/computers/TVs.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a retirement setting required Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Innate ability to resolve problems in creative and proactive ways. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
